Followers vs. Buyers


Social media comes with many questions – including the divide between followers and buyers.

Let's begin with how I define them;

Follower (n.) A person who is actively subscribed and interacting with your company's social media posts.

Buyer (n.) A person who has bought your product. This person may or may not be subscribed to any of your social media.

I see this as an upside down triangle funnel;


Although I do understand that buyers may also go through a transition period to become a follower, however, for profits and the bottom line, your social media strategy should be focused on transitioning followers to buyers.

How do you nurture this funnel?

Social media is a great leverage for setting up this funnel, however, you need to prioritize the following;
